Sue Woolmore has had significant experience with Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs), having been the Independent Chair of two LSCBs, one in Greater Manchester and the other in the Yorkshire & Humber region.

Sue also contributed to the establishment of the Association of Independent LSCB Chairs and served as its Chair until 2014. This role created opportunities for Sue to liaise with LSCB Chairs from across the country and also involved working with other stakeholders for LSCBs, including government departments and professional bodies.

The Sandstory Models page describes how feedback from the training sessions, at the request of an LSCB, can inform the LSCB’s improvement plans. In particular, this is made possible through the “Embedded” sessions and the “Messages from the Frontline” report.

Sue has also provided a number of ‘Development Days’ for LSCBs, each being designed in close consultation with the LSCB Chair and Business Manager, to ensure that they meet the specific needs of the Board.

If you would like to discuss the potential for a ‘bespoke’ development event for your LSCB, please make contact for an exploratory conversation.

Feedback from work with LSCB Development Days has included:

“Extremely well facilitated. Felt able to contribute and felt comments given worth.”

“Good opportunity for reflection as a board member and as agency representative. Thought provoking and provided the opportunity for next steps for the Board’s development.”

“Good balance between presentation and participation. Constructive and relevant information and learning materials targeted to the audience.”
